A lovely circa 1900’s Italian oil painting of fishing boats in Naples Bay with a distant view of Mount Vesuvius in the background. It depicts a pair of colorful boats and figures in the tranquil water juxtaposed against the soft buildings along the shore. Neapolitan School, and painted on artist canvas board, displayed in its carved giltwood period frame. Signed A Nonetti lower left. More research is needed to discover information on this gifted artist. ‘Brought home from Naples 1938’ written verso.
