Gorgeous painterly landscape oil painting of waves crashing against the rocky shore near a cave by California artist Leslie Bruner Wulff (American, 1890-1968). Signed “Leslie Wulff” lower left. Image: 20″L x 16″H.
Leslie Bruner Wulff was born in California on June 25, 1890 and was active on the Monterey Peninsula where she painted landscapes of the area in oil and watercolor during the 1930’s. She exhibited her art in Carmel Art Association in the 1930’s, as well as the Kingsley Art Club (Sacramento) from 1933-47. This painting was exhibited at the E.B. Crocker Art Gallery Show 1938.
