The vibrant red roofs on these homes make this plein air pop. A serene image of a charming little town in the hills is beautifully captured. The French term plein air means out of doors and refers to the practice of painting entire finished pictures outside. This very pleasing oil painting has a classic oak frame and is signed by the artist in the lower right corner.

The original frame has some separation where the corners meet and natural wear, that has happened over time. There are small areas of wear on the canvas.
