This Toby is just fun to look at, very decorative, bright color, excellent condition.

Jolly ole fella – these Toby Jugs/Fillpots often depict seated or standing figures who are typically jovial, having a good old time, often times holidng a beer/stein and wering a tricorn hat which forms the spout and a handle in the back. Sometimes these jobs take on the form of a popular historial or fictional character. They’re made in Staffordshire England and are Avon Art Pottery (Mid 20th century). This has the black backstamp: Made in Avon Ware England. England is also embossed across the bottom base of this jug.
