This hand painted Japanese porcelain Kutani Ware table lamp was exported from the Imari port in Japan around the 1960’s. The wooden base of the lamp is how you know it is Kutani ware as they used the same hexagonal carved wooden base on several of their lamps from the 1960’s. This table lamp was hand painted with a lovely bamboo scene with iris flowers and chrysanthemum blossoms with a pond in the background. This lamp is still in excellent working condition, and it measures 34″ tall by 6 3/4″ wide and it is in “Pristine Condition” with no chips, no cracks, no repairs, no crazing to the glaze, and it has very little wear to the piece for the age of it. The lamp shade is not the original, but it is a close to the original replacement that is six sided like the lamp.
