Available for sale this stunning 1978 vintage heavy impasto oil on board painting by listed artist Morris Katz. Considered the “worlds” most prolific artists he’s bright colored modernistic work has recently gained more attention with more frequently desired Mid century modernist designed homes. Katz evolved his method of painting from a brush to using a palette knife instead. He describes his method as “Instant Art” with having completed entire paintings in as little as 30 seconds. He is listed as a human oddity in Ripley’s Believe it or not. He’s work is found in more than 100 museums around the globe as well as the Smithsonian Institute.
This vintage piece is a colorful expressionist landscape with a human figure and a deer. Heavy texture as well as bright colors. Sets inside a beautiful complimenting frame that tells it aged from the 70’s
