Fabulous and ornate pair of large French brass altar prickets or candlesticks. The pair is from the early 1900’s and made of very heavy brass with a unique tripod base. They are ornately decorated in a French Baroque style with incredible scroll and foliage details. There’s a natural aged patina throughout adding to the depth of the designs. Several areas of white wax drippings throughout adding to their antique charm. Could be polished if preferred. The pointed center pricket holds candles in place up to 3-3/4″ diameter. These would be so dramatic flanking a fireplace or on a large dining table!
